Surf camp UK is located in the genuine surf town Newquay, on the south end of England. The surroundings feature a stunning countryside as well as a great nightlife - all in the surfing metropolis of the British Islands. The consistent swell is great for beginners, but also has a lot to offer for the more advanced surfer.

Newquay is known for producing great swells all year around. The camp works on 6 different beaches; all good during different types of weather, to make sure that you won’t miss out on any surf. The closest beach is just 300 m from the accommodation. If you’re already an experienced surfer, you can book the surfari and explore the breaks along the Cornish coast.

After a hard day’s surfing, the lively town of Newquay has a large number of activities to offer. Most famous for its bars and partying, experiencing the nightlife in downtown Newquay is a must. There are also good opportunities to discuss the surf over a cup of coffee in some cozy café, or go to the nearby zoo. You can also enjoy plenty of scenic walks, boat trips and fishing.

The weather in the area is temperate and generally pleasant from April through October, with July and August being the hottest months, especially at night. The swells are larger during the winter, and the water temperature stays fairly constant throughout the year, thanks to the nearby Gulf stream.

The surf school is rated a level 3 surf school by the British Surfing Association, which is one of the highest in the country. The classes are usually held at either Newquay Bay, Fistral Beach or Watergate Bay, depending on daily surfing conditions. The school has a big quiver of boards that has something for every surfer, available for use at any time.

After one week of surf school, most beginners are out there with the instructors catching waves, and the intermediate surfer has improved greatly.

Surfari is a great option for more experienced surfers. Every day there is a different swell, a different wind etc. This doesn't matter if you book a surfari. Every day you will be accompanied by a professional local surf guide who will show you the best breaks of the region.

You can enjoy the surfari package any time of the year; however the weather conditions are more pleasant between April and December.

The Accommodation we offer is a Surf Lodge located in the heart of Newquay, the UK’s surf capital and premier holiday destination.

The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the sandy beaches of Great western, Towan and Lusty Glaze and a short hop from the famous surf beaches of Fistral and Watergate Bay.

Depending on your preferences, we can offer you two different types of accommodation, standard or upgraded. Standard Accommodation means you will share a room with other surfers while Upgraded accommodation means that you will get a private double room in the surf lodge.

A continental breakfast awaits you each morning at the surf lodge.

There are 4 rooms in total that hosts up to 10 people and 2 bathrooms are shared with your roommates. The surf lodge has a homely common room with a TV, DVD and Xbox, plus a massive library of Surf DVD’s books and games. There’s a kitchen to use, if you decide not to go to one of the numerous restaurants, a short walking distance from the accommodation.

From the surf lodge it is only a 2 minute walk to the waves and only a ten minute walk to the famous Fistral break. The Surf Lodge is also situated about 200 m from Newquays main street. You can’t be more central than this

Since the camps i fairly small, we can not accept bookings for only accommodation. The "accommodation only" option is for people traveling together with guests booking a surf school or surfari package.

Arrival to the area is easy by flying to Newquay Airport (airport code: NQY), which hasconnections with many European cities. Frequent train and bus connections from all around the UK are also available.

When you arrive at the airport a staff member will meet you and give you a ride to the surf camp. Upon departure you will get a ride back to the airport.

The transfer from the camp to Newquay Airport is only ten minutes, and costs an additional £14 each way, payable on arrival. The train and bus station is even closer, with connections from most of the larger cities in the UK.
