Surf camp Peru
Surf camp Peru is located on the pacific coast of Peru at a great surf spot called Peñascal Point, close to the town of San Bartolo. San Bartolo is only 35 minutes away by car from Lima, where you will be picked up at the airport and transported to the surf camp.
The region around San Bartolo offers great conditions for surfing all year long and is suitable for surfers of all levels. Winter (May to September) is the best surf season for experienced surfers with big swells coming from the Southwest. The summer season (December to Mars) receives smaller swells, usually from the northwest, why the surf camp also use facilities further north at a surf spot called Bermejo, which is provides the most consistent and uncrowded waves in the summer season. However it doesn’t really matter when you visit Peru, there are lots of various surf breaks to be explored both up and down the coast, meaning that there is always a good surf spot to be found, both for beginners and more experienced surfers. Since the Bermejo camp is located further from Lima there will be an added cost for pick up during January-February
The surf camp has 12 rooms with private bathroom and 5 apartments with their own kitchen. With an oceanfront view and a private beach, relaxing after surf sessions at the surf camp is never a problem. Have a drink in the bar, go for a swim or enjoy the lovely surroundings on a mountain bike. There is also free usage of the Internet access and cable TV for those who’d like to stay updated with things going on back home.
The area has excellent weather during the whole year. With a dry tempered climate it very seldom rains and the temperature stays around 18°C - 20°C in winter and can reach up to 30°C in the summer months.
