Surf camp Hossegor
Surf camp Hossegor is located in the city of Hossegor, touted as the surfing capital of Europe. Located on the French Atlantic coast, Hossegor and its surrounding coastline is famous for its perfect sand breaks and beautiful beaches. This is a great place for every standard of surfer from complete beginner to advanced to experience quality surf.
The surf camp is located in central Hossegor right in front of the beach Hossegor Front de Mer where the annual Quicksilver Pro France (part of the WCT World Tour) and The Rip Curl Championship (part of the ASP World Tour) are arranged. There is usually a mild offshore wind in the morning, providing excellent surfing conditions. However, Hossegor is not only a surfing Mecca, it is also a great place for intense nightlife. There are lots of bars, restaurants and nightclubs to be explored just around the corner from the surf camp.
The Atlantic influences the climate of the area, creating mild and temperate weather year round. Winters record the highest temperatures in France and summer days are generally hot, but quite pleasant, thanks to cooling sea breezes. During the summer the average temperature is well above 20ºC and it is not unusual that it reaches above 30 ºC. During autumn and spring the days are hot as well but the nights are colder. Rain usually occurs in short downpours and is distributed throughout the year.
