Surf camp Fuerteventura

Surf camp Fuerteventura is located in Corralejo, once a small fishing village, nowadays a famous surfing resort, located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura, the second biggest island of the Canary islands.

The Canary Islands, commonly known as the “Hawaii of Europe” are located 100 km off the Moroccan coast, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where the swell is big all year around.

Fuerteventura and the area around Corralejo in particular, offer great conditions for surfing all year round and is suitable for all levels of surfers. The winter (Nov-Mar) is the best time for experienced surfers with Northern swells coming across the Atlantic. The summer (April- Oct) brings smaller but consistent waves perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers.

There are 5 beach breaks the surf camp visit on a regular basis and plenty more reef breaks for the advanced surfer all within a 20-30 minute drive from the town.

The area has excellent weather during the whole year with a dry desert climate usually caressed by winds that keeps the temperature at a comfortable level. In winter the air temperature seldom reaches below 20 ° C and in summer it is even hotter. Since it is a desert climate, rain is also minimal.

The surf school is completely mobile meaning that lessons are held at the most suitable surf spot in the area, depending on daily weather conditions.

Depending on your level of surfing, the surf instructors will guide you and help you to improve your surfing skills.

We guarantee that after one week of surf school the complete beginner will be able to surf and the experienced surfer will have improved greatly.

If you have arranged your own accommodation, you can also book surf school only. This includes 4 hours of surf lessons, pick up at your hotel in Corralejo and all surf equipment needed

Surfari is a great option for more experienced surfers. Every day there is a different swell, a different wind etc. This doesn't matter if you book a Surfari with us. Every day you will be accompanied by a professional local surf guide who will show you the best breaks of the region, places that just the locals know, taking you to discover new surf spots where you can enjoy perfect waves surrounded by beautiful untouched nature.

Your surf guide will tell you all about the spots, how to get in and out, the currents, type of wave, etc. You will also receive feedback on how to improve your surfing skills.

The accommodation we offer is a great deal. Depending on your preferences we can offer you two types of accommodation, standard our upgraded.

The standard accommodation means that you share a surf house with other surfers. The surf house is located in the centre of Corralejo town and has 7 rooms with 1-4 beds (bed linen and bath towel is included). There are 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a living room and a roof terrace all to be shared by the guests at the surf camp. There is access to a BBQ on the roof terrace and satellite TV in the lounge. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.

This is a great opportunity to meet different surfers from all over the world, to share experiences and have a good time. The surf house always has a great atmosphere!

Continental breakfast is served each morning with cereals, yogurt, bread rolls, ham, Cheese, juice and coffee or tea. All guests can cook in the evenings or go out as town is buzzing with places to eat and drink and all just a stones throw from the surf house.

For couples and groups of two people or more we can also offer self catering apartments (upgraded accommodation), near the surf house. The apartments have 1 or 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/lounge and balcony or terrace. The apartment includes bed linen, towels and cleaning during the week (breakfast is not included). Internet connection and satellite TV is available on request at additional charge (15 EUR per week).

Arrival at Fuerteventura is usually done by air into Fuerteventura’s only airport, El Matorral (airport code: FUE).

Fuerteventura has for a long time been a high profile tourist destination, meaning that you can usually find cheap charter flight tickets. You can also find lots of regular flights (usually via Madrid) from all major European cities. You might also want to check out options like Ryan air and Easyjet for low fares.

When you arrive at the airport a staff members will meet you and give you a ride to the surf camp. Upon departure you will get a ride back to the airport. It’s only about 30 minute between the airport and the surf camp.

If you will be coming to Fuerteventura by ferry from any of the other Canary islands, you can also be picked up at the Puerto del Rosario port.

Please be aware that the airport transfer is not included for the "accommodation only" package. If you have booked only accommodation and want the airport transfer this costs 70 EUR for the return transfer (both ways incl.).
