Surf camp Costa Rica
Surf camp Costa Rica is located in the charming beach town of Jaco, halfway down the Pacific coastline of Costa Rica and conveniently close to the capital San José. This central part of the coast is home to some of the most consistent surf breaks in the world, providing visitors with year- round surf and tropical warm water.
Although being a small town, Jaco has over 140 restaurants and many sights and activities to offer. You can also visit the Manuel Antonio and Cordova national parks, with more species of birds than the whole North America.
Mainly, Jaco is famous for being a surfers paradise, and in addition to Jaco's beach break (which is perfect for beginner and intermediate surfers) there are more than nine other surf spots within a 15 minute drive from the camp, including the famous Playa Hermosa (with powerful tubular waves, loved by advanced surfers).
The climate is tropical and divided in two seasons. The dry season runs from December through April and the rainy season from May to November. During the dry season there can be little showers that keep the area as green as it is. During the wet season rain is more frequent but never lasts for long. The average temperature lies between 22°C (72°F) at night and 29°C (84°F) during the day. The coolest months are from September through November, and the warmest from December through August.
